Today, 22 October, the Air Force welcomed the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation to the Alfragide Complex for a blood donation drive among military personnel, an event organised by the Lisbon Support Unit.
This event saw 34 donations from military personnel who voluntarily gave of their time to make this initiative possible, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity and commitment to the population.
To be a blood donor, you must be between 18 and 65 years old, with the age limit for first-time donors being 60, and weigh 50 kg or more. Each blood donation can save up to three lives.
