The Air Force is participating in Segurex 2025 with a technological and operational demonstration that reflects its commitment to innovation in national security and emergency response. The event is being held at FIL – Lisbon International Fair, since the 21st, ending today, 23 October.
Segurex 25 is an international protection, security, and defence event dedicated exclusively to the safety, security, and defence sectors. The Air Force's presence at this event reinforces the role of the Armed Forces in supporting civil protection and collective security missions, promoting institutional cooperation.
In this edition, the Air Force is participating with the UAVISION OGASSA OGS unmanned aerial system and mobile control station, an advanced solution for aerial surveillance and reconnaissance, as well as the VCIA 6x6 Protect-Fire firefighting vehicle, designed to ensure a rapid response in emergency scenarios in Air Force units.
We complemented our presence with the Air Force's canine team, represented by two human-dog pairs, who demonstrated the versatility of this capability in military security scenarios.
On the first day of the event, Lieutenant Colonel Luís Henriques, Commander of Squadron 991 – ‘Harpias’, participated in SEGUREX TALKS, organised by the National Firefighting School, on the ‘Use of UAS in protection and rescue missions’, contextualising the Air Force's experience in rural fire surveillance.
Yesterday, 22 October, Colonel Carlos Batalha also spoke at the Segurex 2025 panel on the theme: The link between the Armed Forces and industry.
