On 25 October, Aerodrome No. 3 (AM3) promoted the AM3 Solidarity Walk, an initiative that combined the spirit of celebration with solidarity and involvement with the local community.
The activity was attended by around 200 people, including military personnel, civilians and local entities, who walked a route of about 5 km on the island of Porto Santo, in an atmosphere of fellowship and closeness between the Air Force and the population.
With a strong spirit of solidarity, the main objective of the Walk was to collect essential goods for the Nossa Senhora da Piedade do Porto Santo Foundation's Nursing Home, reinforcing the Air Force's commitment to the values of solidarity, citizenship and social support.
The initiative, part of the celebrations of the 73rd Anniversary of the Air Force, was organised by Aerodrome No. 3, with the support of military personnel from the Physical Education and Sports Department of the Air Force Training Directorate and the Air Force Social Action Service.
The AM3 Solidarity Walk was an opportunity for institutional proximity and visibility, contributing to strengthening the image of the Air Force in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, particularly on the island of Porto Santo, where the institution maintains a permanent presence of service and dedication to the community.
