Today, 3 November, the Air Force paid tribute to those who died while serving in the institution by holding a memorial mass at the Air Force Church in São Domingos de Benfica.

The mass was celebrated by D. Sérgio Dinis, Bishop of the Armed Forces and Security, and was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General João Cartaxo Alves, as well as various military and civilian entities.

This Eucharistic celebration is held annually in honour of all Air Force personnel who served Portugal and the institution, and is a moment of tribute, where the memory and legacy of all those who dedicated their lives to serving their country are remembered.
