Air Force dominates National Cross Country Championships

The Air Force climbed to the top of the podium twice at the 45th National Military Cross Country Championships, which took place today, 28 November, in Queluz.

Captain Daniel Martins finished the ‘Long Cross Country’ race in 30'15, taking 1st place in the event. In the ‘Short Cross Country’ race, the Air Force took 1st and 3rd place on the podium, won by Warrant Officer António Barata and Lieutenant Natanael Guerreiro, respectively.

On a day full of achievements, the Air Force also stood out as the best team in the Senior category in the ‘Short Cross-Country’ race, a feat achieved by Lieutenant Natanael Guerreiro, Ensign José Galvão, First Sergeant Francisco Villar and Warrant Officer António Barata.

This year's edition saw the participation of over a hundred athletes from the Air Force, Navy, Army, National Republican Guard and Public Security Police.
