The 2nd edition of ETAP began last Sunday, July 2nd, with the opening ceremony, and after Academics Day, this Tuesday morning, at 10:15 am, the C-130J aircraft of the German and French joint BATS, opening the doors for the flights of the remaining air resources engaged in the exercise that, until the 14th of July, will be heard from Air Base 11 (BA11), in Beja.
During ETAP-T 2023, Cargo Drop and Parachute missions, Aeromedical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), support to Ground Forces and Special Operations, Tactical Air Transport and “Air-to-Air” training missions will be carried out.
In these missions, in addition to ground forces such as TACP and NOTP, Paratroopers representing the Army are also involved.
Remember that ETAP-T 2023, organized by the Portuguese Air Force, is part of the European project European Tactical Airlift Center (ETAC), which aims to improve the European response of operational transport in crisis situations. This type of multinational exercise is a unique opportunity to carry out joint training in different scenarios, improving interoperability between participants.
